Buzz as awesome new Moo Music play cafe opens in Plymouth

If you live in Plymouth you’ll already have heard about the exciting Moo Music Cafe which opens this week.

And if you haven’t, seriously where have you BEEN??

Well, I went along today and shit the bed, it’s AMAZING!

Don’t believe me? Look at these faces!

Mums can live the dream at Moo Music

The play cafe is on Mutley Plain in Plymouth and is not only the new permanent home for baby and toddler group Moo Music but features a fabulous cafe for us mums to chat (likely?) right next to a brilliant soft play area. This is the dream, right?

It has Jumperoos for younger babies, boxes of toys and a blackboard wall for the little ones to get arty. Then you head downstairs to take part in a Moo Music session. There’s even a separate room set up as a buggy park for you to get your pram out the way. And get this – the baby changing facilities already have wipes, nappies, bags, and talc! I mean seriously, they’ve thought of bloody everything!

We’ve been going to Moo Music weekly since owner Lisa Clark took over the franchise and ran classes in our local village hall. Then we followed her to Jump two years ago – all three of my boys love the sessions.

We love Moo Music

So they were loving life today at the new cafe and can’t wait to try out a session once they start at the new venue on February 25.

Moo Music is an interactive music, movement and multi-sensory class for children as young as newborns right up to preschoolers. It’s based around the main character – a cow called Maggie Moo, and her Moo Crew Henry Horse, Barry Baa, Doris Duck, and Ollie Oink.

Each week the children are taken on a different imaginary journey with Maggie Moo. And it’s a great opportunity to take hilarious pics of your babies! If you (or should I say, your child) can’t wait a whole week, there’s plenty of merchandise on sale at the cafe.

The new premises was designed by Crayon Architects and transformed from the former British Heart Foundation charity shop by House2Home Building Projects.

All about the cake

Oh and did I mention these bad boys?

Seriously, have you ever seen cakes as scrumptious-looking as these?? They’re all vegan and made by Lara at Tasty Parteas. I *may have sampled them, and I can definitely report they are delicious! Would highly recommend the lemon drizzle cake…

Lisa said: “It’s been an absolutely brilliant first day. We’ve had lots of new customers and it’s been really busy. I’m buzzing for the rest of the week now, and for when the sessions start next week.”

Have you felt the buzz?

Plymouth mums will already have cottoned onto the ‘buzz’ surrounding the Moo Music Cafe. And now it’s open, you can try it out for yourselves. If today was anything to go by, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a great place to meet your mum mates.

I wonder if I could persuade Lisa to start selling wine too…
