Major signs that it’s time for you to move house

Are you unsure whether or not now is the time for you to move house? If so then you have come to the right place. This guide will show you everything you need to know about moving, so you can make an educated decision for yourself.

This is a collaborative post

It’s time to move house when your home is shrinking

Do you sometimes feel as though your home is shrinking? If so then this is a key indicator that your family is growing and that you need to move house. There are two extremes here. You may either feel as though every cupboard is bursting at the seams, or that you have more children than you did last month. On the flip side, you may feel as though you have tons of rooms that you just don’t use, and this gives you a lot of resentment when the time comes for you to clean. If this is the case then you need to make a major change. Remember you can get storage for moving house if you are drowning in items.

You’re looking up new properties

Even though there is no harm in looking, if you are on property search sites then this is a key indicator that you need to be searching for a new home. This is especially the case when a five-minute search ends up turning into a full hour. You may also forget about responsibilities at work because you are so wrapped up in your search. If this is the case then you need to make sure that you do what you can to begin looking at properties seriously because if you don’t then you may find that you end up dreaming about what you could have, but never taking action on it.

You don’t clean

This may sound like a strange one but if you don’t clean or tidy as much as you once did then this is a major sign that you need to widen your property search. It may be that you have lost your passion for the home you have and this can cause you to feel resentment towards your investment. If you want to inspire your love for your home again then one thing you can do is try and take steps to either move house or find a reason to love your home again. If you can do this then you will soon find that it is easier for you to get the result you are looking for and that you can keep on top of your new home better.

You don’t throw dinner parties

Your place isn’t fit for entertaining, and that’s fine. With that in mind, if you miss throwing dinner parties or if you don’t feel as though you can have your friends and family around anymore then this is a sign that you need to move house. You need to make sure that you are doing what you can to keep up with your social connections and if this means getting a space that is more suited to hosting, then this is exactly what you should be focusing on.
