If you’re anything like me, you take thousands of photos, and they stay on your phone unseen. But MYPICTURE.co.uk offers so many beautiful ways to display those special images around your home.
AD | – This is a collaborative post with MYPICTURE.co.uk, but all thoughts are my own
MYPICTURE.co.uk specialises in producing customised, high quality wall decor and lifestyle accessories. The products serve as a great idea for home decoration, or personalised, affordable gifts for loved ones on birthdays or other special events.
So when they contacted me about their personalised cards and photo cushions, I jumped at the chance. And you should too with a 15% discount code further down in this blogpost!
Photo cards from MYPICTURE.co.uk
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE a card. I literally send cards for anything and everything, to the point my friends actually make fun of me. I must have got it from my Mum as she’s the same. And I also love to receive a card. Hint hint. It’s absolutely a dying form of communication though, isn’t it? With texts, emails, WhatsApp etc, nobody actually needs to send a card. But they are SO nice to receive.
My Picture produces 3 different designs of personalised cards that come in either packs of 10 or 12, so would be perfect for any cards you’re sending out in bulk. Perhaps you’re thinking of making your own Christmas card this year? Rather than buying a pack of bog-standard cards, design your own with a family photo and it’ll be so much more special and extra meaningful.
Once I’d chosen a photo of my twins together (which took ages as you can imagine!) I started to look through the options on the My Picture website and see what I fancied.
I decided that instead of sending texts to thank people for my boys’ birthday presents this year, I’d make the effort to send cards. They’ve had a couple of thank you cards from parties they’ve been to recently and it’s so lovely. So that’s what I did!
There are 3 designs I could choose from. The panorama photo card is 10 x 21 cm on semi gloss paper so you can still write on it, and is one wide piece of card rather than folded. It comes in a set of 10 with white envelopes.
The folded custom card is 14 x 10cm and is a classic choice for invitations, personalised Christmas cards, new baby announcements or menu cards. You can customise the card both inside and out and it comes in a set of 10 with white envelopes.
The third option is the photo postcard, which is ideal for turning your favourite holiday snaps into personalised postcards to send to friends and family. You can choose a photo or photos for the front, and then on the back you can choose another photo or a classic postcard address layout. It measures 14.8 x 10.4cm, and comes in a pack of 12 with white envelopes.
Whichever option you go for, you can choose from a number of different layouts for your photo or photos, as well as adding your own text onto them. So I put ‘Thank You’ on the front of the card, as well as a message inside. And I love them!
MYPICTURE.co.uk make awesome photo cushions
Last year I had a professional photographer friend take some photos of us all at a Christmas tree farm in Cornwall, and I LOVED the pictures. I’ve got a couple in a small frame (as well as my laptop screensaver and phone lock screen!). But they seemed a bit too ‘Christmassy’ to have in a larger size on the walls of my house all year round.
I wanted something that could be brought out in December along with the Christmas decorations that could show off these awesome photos and MYPICTURE.co.uk had just the thing. Photo cushions!
If you’re keen to get a personalised photo cushion made then you’re in for a treat. They are quality hand-sewn accessories that will brighten up any sofa or bed in your house, and feature a superb full-colour print reproduction of the photo of your choice. They are available in satin, plush or cotton, in a range of sizes and have removable covers that can be machine washed – always a bonus with kids around!
I opted to get three made, one for each of the boys, with an individual photo of each of them. And seeing as they’re so festive, I’ve decided they’ll be a great addition to their Christmas bedding they absolutely love. And at least if all three have got their own of themselves, they can’t fight about whose is who’s! Anything for an easy life, eh?
I’m not going to show them yet, and just put them on their pillows at the start of December and watch their reactions. I know they’ll be over the moon.
Mine are the satin version which are 40cm x 40cm, and have the photo on one side and pure white on the back. The plush option comes in 30cm x 30cm, 40cm x 40cm or 60cm x 60cm. It has the photo on the front and you can choose from either plain white, another single colour, or the photo again on the back. Same options for the back, and the same dimensions are available in the breathable cotton cushion too.
Other ways to use your photos around the home
If you love the idea of the cushions, then check out the other home and lifestyle products MYPICTURE.co.uk offer – such as bed linen, blankets, tote bags or beach, bath or gym towels. You can even have your photo printed onto a rug or doormat!
I have so many other photos I wanted to do something with, whilst I was on the MYPICTURE.co.uk website I found myself getting carried away. I also ordered myself a fab photo desk calendar and some more photo prints to update a few of the frames in our kitchen photo gallery. Thought I might as well, whilst I was here.
The quality of all the products is great, this is the second time I’ve ordered from them, and I’d definitely recommend it.
So if you’re looking for a gift for that special person (Father’s Day isn’t far off!) and you know they’d love something personalised, or if you just want to treat yourself, you can’t go wrong with MYPICTURE.co.uk.
